Hello helloooo {{first_name}},

I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with life on Friday afternoon, checked the weather here in Melb and saw it was rainy and cold, so I was not thrilled. Checked the weather in Perth and saw it was 28, clear and sunny 👀

Jumped onto Google Flights and saw the 9pm Virgin flight was only $350ish for that evening (I say ONLY because I have seen some horrendous prices recently with school holidays for over double). 😂

I also had a $450 Qantas credit from my Amex to use in the next few months, and was able to book my return flight with that on Tuesday.

Sooo I booked the flights and went to Perth. And it was SO worth it for the sunshine.

It definitely wasn’t a great deal, but a good example of perks (my Qantas credit) enabling fun things in life and making it an easier decision to go just for 3 days.

It’s always important to do the math on if points and deals are worth the time & money, but I think an underrated bonus is giving yourself more options, and permission to spend on fun things (within reason ofc).

P.S. I have opened a few more spots for Tash Lends discovery calls this week if you are ready to chat about refinancing and/or buying a property ☺️

BONUS POINTS OFFER
Earn up to 300,000 Qantas Points with a CommBank home loan

Important reminder: a home loan is a big financial commitment. Always make sure the loan is right for your situation, your goals and your finances before factoring in any points offer. The points are a nice bonus but they should never be the reason you choose a lender.

🛒 How it works

  • Head to the offer page to review the T&Cs

  • Apply for a new CommBank Digi Home Loan online by 30 April 2026

  • Link your QFF membership number in your application

  • Settle your loan by 29 July 2026

  • Receive your Qantas Points within 30 days of settlement

Points are earned based on your loan size:

  • $300,000–$499,999 → 100,000 Qantas Points

  • $500,000–$999,999 → 200,000 Qantas Points

  • $1,000,000+ → 300,000 Qantas Points

💡What it’s worth

Let's say you're buying (or refinancing) a home around $700,000. That loan would earn you 200,000 Qantas Points. So what does 200k points actually get you? Here are some examples:

  • 5x Return Melbourne to Sydney (economy)

  • 4x Return Sydney to Bali (economy)

  • 2x Return Melbourne to Los Angeles (economy)

  • Return Perth to London (economy)

With the maximum offer of 300k points (loans $1M+), you're looking at a return business class flight to Europe.

⚠️ Things to keep in mind

  • Must be applied for directly online - broker applications are not eligible

  • Not available if you're refinancing an existing CommBank home loan

  • Doesn't apply to off the plan purchases, land, construction or bridging loans

  • You can only earn the points once per Qantas Frequent Flyer member

  • Minimum loan amount of $300k and LVR must be 80% or less
