Hello helloooo {{first_name}},
I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with life on Friday afternoon, checked the weather here in Melb and saw it was rainy and cold, so I was not thrilled. Checked the weather in Perth and saw it was 28, clear and sunny 👀
Jumped onto Google Flights and saw the 9pm Virgin flight was only $350ish for that evening (I say ONLY because I have seen some horrendous prices recently with school holidays for over double). 😂
I also had a $450 Qantas credit from my Amex to use in the next few months, and was able to book my return flight with that on Tuesday.
Sooo I booked the flights and went to Perth. And it was SO worth it for the sunshine.
It definitely wasn’t a great deal, but a good example of perks (my Qantas credit) enabling fun things in life and making it an easier decision to go just for 3 days.
It’s always important to do the math on if points and deals are worth the time & money, but I think an underrated bonus is giving yourself more options, and permission to spend on fun things (within reason ofc).
P.S. I have opened a few more spots for Tash Lends discovery calls this week if you are ready to chat about refinancing and/or buying a property ☺️
